Be an Angel this Christmas
Each year over $700 million is wasted on unwanted Christmas gifts that end up in the closet, in storage and ultimately in landfill. But imagine a gift that could feed a child, rescue an animal, protect our rainforests, educate a mind, help find cures for cancer, aid the arts, spur on spirituality or perform countless other worthwhile wonderful acts. Look no further, we’ve come up with a solution that will do all of the above and it’s called karma currency. And there is no limit to how much or how little karma you decide to spread. Remember what goes around comes around and every little bit counts.

This initiative will allow companies and individuals to give karma currency, Australia’s first online Charity Gift Voucher to families or friends, customers or colleagues, empowering them to forward the donation to the charities they care about most. In short; our aim is to make karma currency the most soulful, meaningful and enjoyable gift, one that keeps on giving.

It’s the perfect gift for those people in your life who have everything and want for nothing. For Christmas, birthdays, bereavements, weddings, kris kringle, staff rewards and every special occasion under the sun.

The karma currency Foundation is a non-for-profit online social venture with DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status. And we’re a lot like you. We’re a hard working group of people dedicated to making charitable acts part of our everyday lives. Our mission is to increase charitable giving by connecting people with the charities and causes that are dear to their hearts, whether it is starving children in Africa or a soup kitchen down the street. The karma currency Foundation is paving the way forward in good gift giving.

How much of the gift voucher gets to the charities?
100% of the value of the gift voucher reaches the chosen charity. We achieve this by charging the gift giver a small processing fee of $4.95.

What happens to vouchers that are not redeemed?
To ensure that monies are passed on gift givers must choose a ‘default’ charity where money will be directed if the voucher is not redeemed with a 12 month period.

Who are the partners of Karma Currency?
Karma Currency is sponsored by the National Australia Bank (NAB), and the DMG (NOVA) Network and has been granted pro bono assistance from Corrs Chambers Westgath, WHK Horwath and Nicholas Weston Trade Marks Attorney.
