Dear Dana,
I am in Hawaii. A few days ago I went swimming with the turtles and a hair band came off my hair. I was worried that they might eat it so I dived down to get it and burst my right ear drum! Then yesterday I went hiking up the volcano, to where the lava had set. There among the rocks I saw three small pieces of stone gleaming like precious gems. I felt the goddess PELE wanted me to have these. Today I have had unlucky things happen. Did the stones do this? Should I take them back?

Dear Rhonda,
Your current situation feels very positive, like you are being shifted and activated into a deeper connection with the Goddess, that is your own self as Goddess, and the energy of the Divine Goddess overall - the natural, innate wisdom of your feminine side.
My feeling is that the reason your right ear drum burst, and the reason you are finding it hard to hear from that ear, is to strengthen your left ear listening ability. The left represents the feminine - your intuition, your instincts, your feelings. The right represents the masculine - the rational mind, logic, analyzing. Funny this happened in the ocean as of course the ocean is like the womb of Mother Earth.
The turtles you saw have significance as well. Turtle is the oldest symbol for the Earth. It is the personification of Goddess energy and the eternal Earth itself. I just looked up the meaning of Turtle for you on www.linsdomain.com. “If you have a Turtle totem, you must be mindful of returning to the Earth what she has given you. Honor the creative source within you. Use water and earth energies to create a harmonious flow in your life. Ask the Earth for assistance and her riches will pour forth.”
Yes, you must take the lava rocks back. This is true of stones from any sacred site, they need to be left where they are. The Goddess may have wanted you to have the energy within the stones, which you are able to receive without taking them physically. So the question to ask is, what is the energy like within the stones that she is trying to turn your attention to? This is the energy that she wants to help you activate within yourself. Response from Rhonda: Dear Dana, Thank you so much, I really appreciate your answer. I have been spending a lot of time alone and really getting energized from Mother Earth. Hawaii has the most beautiful energy. Yes, my instinct did say not to take the stones, but hold them only. The stone that attracted me was vibrant blue, another gold, another had many colours. Now they are away from the site they have lost their shine - interesting. I will take them back. This is a great learning experience for me. There was a guy walking with me who was saying “take them, take them.” I am not putting responsibility onto him - I do tend to get swayed by others. I must trust myself more. Once again, thank you so much.
